Strengthening the Partnership with IOC

The International Olympic Committee – IOC and the International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE) enjoy a long-standing relationship, working together to realize a shared vision on the practice and impact of sport. The recent meeting at Olympic House in Lausanne marked a milestone in the partnership, giving ICSSPE’s newly appointed Executive Director the opportunity to align with IOC's Medical & Scientific Director, Richard Budgett, and Olympism365 colleagues Ollie Dudfield and Alejandro Calvente on past achievements and a range of strategic topics of relevance for both organisations. 

The aim of the visit to IOC was to strengthen the relationship between the two organisations by identifying stronger collaboration opportunities to jointly develop responses to current challenges, aimed at ensuring that value-based sport continues to deliver on its major role in public health and social development, in line with the future Olympic Agenda.
