Reclaiming the Social Role of Sport

Complementing the research and policy activities in Sport for Development, ICSSPE will host its 10^th Sport for Development training for young coaches, physical educators and social workers who intend to apply sport programmes in a development or community building context.

This unique, one-week course provides hands-on experience in intercultural competence, pedagogy, psycho-social support, inclusive- and gender-sensitive approaches.

The course will take place January 20^th until 26^th 2019, in Rheinsberg, just outside Berlin. Join us for an exciting week of in- and outdoor physical activity, joint reflexion and little theory – in a hotel at the lakeside of a little town, equipped with a gym, sauna, and a pool. And don’t be afraid: if you believe that you are not athletic at all – fine with us, as long as you give yourself a chance.
