Global Coaches House

The International Council for Coach Education (ICCE) in partnership with Leeds Metropolitan University will host the ´Global Coaches House´, during the London Olympic Games from July 27th to August 12th 2012, at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in downtown London. The Global Coaches House will also run during the Paralympics, from September 3rd to 6th, 2012, at a downtown location to be announced.

 

The Global Coaches House targets aspiring coaches, coaches visiting the Games, Olympic and Paralympic coaches, next generation coaches, coaches working in business and personnel from coach education organisations.

 
A programme of free activities will be offered, including numerous workshops from some of the leading experts in sports and business coaching, as well as the opportunity to analyse competition performance using Dartfish software. The House will provide a place to watch the Games and to meet coaches from around the world.
 
 
A ´Games Ready Coach Programme´ will also take place, targeting next generation coaches preparing for future Olympic Games. As this is a week long programme, a small fee incurs. Please see the link for more information:
 
 
The free ´Workout Lunch´ seminars will cover a range of topics such as decision making, learning, experiences of female coaches, the development of coaching as a profession, Paralympic coaching, technology, design, anti-doping and physical competency profiling.
 
 
A number of special events will also take place such as ´Rugby Day´ (cost incurred) where a panel of experts will present and discuss tactics, optimal learning environments and the latest issues in rugby. The free ´Winning Women: Building our Pathway to Success´ seminar will feature a number of women coaches and the ´Technology and Coaching Day´ will feature the latest topics in coaching and technology.
