EPAS Annual Meeting 2024 in Strasbourg

ICSSPE, as member of the Consultative Committee, participated in the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport (EPAS) annual meeting of the Governing Board and Consultative Committee on the 29th and 30th of May, 2024, at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. This meeting provided an invaluable platform for member organizations to discuss critical topics related to sports governance and policy. Our President Dr. Uri Schaefer, in representation of ICSSPE, had the opportunity to present ICSSPE’s projects, which align with the European Sports Charter’s goals of promoting inclusivity, gender equality, and youth engagement in sports.

Through our position, we exercised our right to vote, contributing to the selection of new leadership within the EPAS Consultative Committee, including the election of the Chair, Vice-Chair, and members of the Bureau, as well as the Gender Equality Rapporteur. Our voting rights enable us to have a direct impact on the strategic direction and priorities of the committee, ensuring that the voices and perspectives of our members are represented in the decision-making process.
