Sports offer social and economic benefits for women in the workplace, whether they work in the sports industry or in another industry. This discussion will bring together experts from women’s sports organisations around the world to offer their expertise and experience about how sport and physical education relates to women’s economic empowerment. Tangible examples of how sport and women’s economic empowerment intersect, including the impact of discrimination in sport, and recommended actions to reduce the impact will be offered.
