Successful Meeting at the Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund (DOSB)

On 5th April, Patrick Stolpmann, the Executive Director of ICSSPE, had a fruitful meeting with Michaela Röhrbein at the Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund (DOSB) (NOC Germany).

The meeting was dynamic and productive, focusing on exploring future collaboration opportunities between ICSSPE and DOSB to elevate the relevance of Sports Science in Germany. They discussed hosting interdisciplinary events, fostering cross-disciplinary dialogue, and collaboration within sports science, emphasizing the significance of evidence-based practices for sport development at all levels.

The collaboration can have the potential to support aspects of Germany’s “Nationale Strategie Sportgroßveranstaltungen”, aiming to maximize the positive impact on society and the sporting landscape. Together, ICSSPE and DOSB are set to amplify the power of interdisciplinary sport science, paving the way for a stronger, more vibrant sporting community.
