The PACTE+ project held its final project meeting and conference on 15–16 April 2025 in Brussels. This gathering provided project partners with the opportunity to review all deliverables produced over the past three years and to prepare for final reporting.

Building on the foundations of the original PACTE project, PACTE+ aims to support European cities in becoming more physically active, thereby enhancing both individual and collective well-being across urban environments.

The final conference featured a range of high-level speakers, including EU Member of Parliament Nina Carberry, alongside other key stakeholders committed to promoting healthy and active lifestyles throughout Europe.

As an expert organisation within the project consortium, ICSSPE provided tailored support to four cities, focusing specifically on the promotion of Active Schools within an Active City. The other thematic pillars of the project included Active Mobility, Active Governance, and Active Workplaces.

A key outcome of the project, the “Matrix for Change”, was further refined and enhanced. This interactive and innovative tool is designed to assist cities, municipalities, urban planners, health organisations, and other stakeholders in creating more active and inclusive urban environments.
