For the sixth edition of “Communities and Crisis – Inclusive Development through Sport“ ICSSPE offers eight bursaries.   These cover 100% of the registration fee and are aimed at applicants from all over the world. The seminar and bursaries target social workers, psychologists, students and coaches who are interested in utilising sport for development purposes. Other participants meanwhile are recruited from the master’s programme in Adapted Physical Activity at KU Leuven, Belgium, as well as the master in Social Work at Kennesaw State University, USA. The seminar takes place in Rheinsberg, Germany, from 18 until 23 October 2013.   Following in the footsteps of previous seminars, ICSSPE organises the seminar together with Kennesaw State University, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and Freie Universität Berlin. The Federal Ministry of the Interior of Germany and the Fürst Donnersmarck-Foundation support the event.

Through this programme, participants learn to use sport as positive means of physiological and psychological rehabilitation, both through practical, hands-on workshops as well as through theoretical learning sessions. It emphasises the importance of cultural sensitivity and the implementation of appropriate monitoring and evaluation techniques.   Applications for the bursary shall be sent to Mr. Jörg Pluschkat, jpluschkaticsspe.org, and include the following:       - Letter of motivation (1 p.)     - Letter of recommendation by superior or professor (1 p.)     - C.V. (1 p.)   Recipients are required to make contributions to ICSSPE’s daily social media and communication activities during the seminar.   Deadline for application is 9 September, 2013.   In order to gather more information and register for the seminar please follow this link, fill in the form and send it to Mr. Jörg Pluschkat, jpluschkaticsspe.org.   Additional information about HausRheinsberg, including directions, may be obtained from www.hausrheinsberg.de/eng.
