2011 Paralympic Scientific Award

To acknowledge contributions of researchers in sport for persons with a disability, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is calling for nominations for the 2011 Paralympic Scientific Award.

The main goals of the award are:

• to acknowledge and reward the work of researchers;
• to promote and encourage further study;
• to enhance the quality of work.

To be eligible, candidates must have contributed through significant scientific publications related to the critical aspects of sport for persons with a disability in any discipline, have received national and/or international recognition and awareness of their work, and place a specific emphasis on the practical application of research with direct or indirect benefit to the Paralympic Movement.

All nominations must be submitted in English by email to miguel.mongeparalympic.org or by fax to +49 228 209 72 09, not later than 10 May, 2011, 12:00 GMT.
