15th ICCE Global Coach Conference

The 15th ICCE Global Coach Conference (GCC) is scheduled to take place from 20–23 November 2025 in Athens, Greece. Organized by the International Council for Coaching Excellence (ICCE) in collaboration with the Hellenic Federation of Sports Coaches and Trainers (POPA), this biennial event stands as a cornerstone for the global coaching community.

Conference Theme

Under the theme “The Coach in a Fast-Advancing Technological Society: Developing Skills for 2030 and Beyond,” the conference aims to address the evolving role of coaches amidst rapid technological advancements. It will provide a platform for coaches, coach developers, researchers, sports scientists, and administrators to engage in discussions on emerging trends, share research findings, and explore innovative practices in coaching development.

The scientific program features a diverse array of topics, including:​

• Ethical Dilemmas in Coaching: Addressing issues such as safe sport, safeguarding, hate speech, fair play, match-fixing, and diversity and inclusion.
• Professionalization in Coaching: Exploring transnational pathways, communities of practice, coach development accreditation, and legislative frameworks.​
• AI, Technology, and Coaching: Examining the impact of artificial intelligence, virtual coaching, e-sports, and advancements in sports equipment design.​
• New Developments in Coaching Practice: Highlighting emerging trends and methodologies in coach development and practice.​

The conference welcomes submissions from early career researchers, original research contributions, and evidence-informed practical advancements in coaching.
