ICSSPE is supporting the delivery of the joint European Union–Council of Europe project “Sport For All: Promoting Inclusion and Combating Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities". The International Council was selected for the task of designing and delivering the training modules related to this project.

The Sport For All project aims to foster a more inclusive sport culture across participating countries by strengthening capacity, encouraging exchange of good practice, and addressing discrimination against persons with disabilities in sport.

As part of its mandate, ICSSPE will design and deliver two tailored training workshops bringing together stakeholders from eight participating countries: Armenia, Cyprus, Greece, Ireland, Portugal, Serbia, Türkiye and Ukraine. The workshops will convene sport professionals, policymakers, educators and other key actors to strengthen inclusive approaches within national sport systems.

ICSSPE’s contribution will focus on developing needs-based training modules that focus on:
  • Implementation at scale and operational approaches
  • Governance tools and coordination mechanisms
  • National obligations vs local delivery
  • Participation pathways and inclusive participation
  • Local capacity building and best practices
  • Monitoring, data use and visibility
This collaboration further strengthens ICSSPE’s longstanding commitment to advancing equity, diversity and inclusion in sport worldwide, and reinforces its role as a trusted partner in international sport policy and capacity development initiatives.

We look forward to contributing to the successful implementation of Sport For All in cooperation with the Council of Europe and all project partners.
