Gender and Sports Conference

The organisers of the Gender and Sports Conference, to be held at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, from 13 to 15 November 2014 are calling for abstracts.

The conference theme is ‘Transnational Body and Movement Cultures from a Gender Perspective.’ Papers exploring the different aspects of transnationalism in sport are particularly welcome. However, the organisers also invite contributions on the current state of gender research in sport, particularly those taking intersectionalities into account.

The deadline for abstract submission is 15 September 2014. The same day is also the deadline for registration for the PhD workshop which will accompany the conference.
