The International Olympic Committee (IOC) continues its mission to empower young leaders by using the transformative power of sport to create positive social impact. The IOC Young Leaders Programme 2025-2028 is now open for applications, offering a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to lead sport-based initiatives aimed at addressing community challenges. The programme is structured into a multi-phase process that ensures participants are well-prepared to succeed in their leadership and social business endeavours.

 

Application Process: Two Phases of Preparation

 

The journey to becoming an IOC Young Leader consists of two key phases: a 4-Week Learning Sprint and the formal IOC Young Leaders Programme application.

 

Phase 1: 4-Week Learning Sprint

The first step is the 4-Week Learning Sprint, which is mandatory for all aspiring candidates. This intensive learning experience will introduce participants to core concepts related to leadership, sport, and social business development. Key details include:

  • Registration Window: 25 September - 21 October 2024.
  • Learning Sessions: Held every Tuesday from 22 October to 12 November 2024.
  • Learning Materials: Available on the Learning Hub from 15 October 2024.

Participants who complete the Learning Sprint will receive a Certificate of Participation, which is required to move to the next stage of the selection process.

 

Phase 2: IOC Young Leaders Programme Application

Upon successful completion of the Learning Sprint, participants become eligible to apply for the IOC Young Leaders Programme. The application process will open on 18 November and close on 16 December 2024. Candidates are encouraged to review the full description of the application process and criteria to ensure they meet the requirements and are ready to embark on this exciting journey.
