Join the FISU World University Games 2025 Volunteer Program and International Online Class

ICSSPE is announcing a unique opportunity for university students worldwide to volunteer at the 2025 FISU World University Games in the Rhine-Ruhr Region of Germany, taking place from July 16-27, 2025. As part of this initiative and in cooperation with ICSSPE, the Ludwigsburg University of Education’s Department of Sport, led by Prof. Dr. Annette R. Hofmann, is offering a dedicated International Online Class designed for students passionate about sports, international collaboration, and cultural exchange.

About the International Class

The International Online Class provides students with a comprehensive understanding of FISU, the World University Games, and an in-depth look at different sporting cultures around the world. Students will collaborate in breakout rooms, engage in group discussions, and work on small projects focused on specific topics, which they will have the opportunity to expand on during the Games.

Through this experience, students can develop valuable knowledge, skills, and insights in the field of international sport and event management, with a focus on global cooperation, sports diversity, and cultural appreciation.

Eligibility Requirements

All students participating in the class must commit to a minimum of 4-7 days as volunteers at the Games. This volunteer experience not only deepens students' learning but also connects them with the broader international sports community. Those volunteering for longer periods may be offered better accommodation options.

While the program does not provide financial support for travel to Germany, meals, lodging (at no or minimal cost), and volunteer uniforms will be provided to students.

Interested university professors are encouraged to make this opportunity available to their students by reaching out to Prof. Dr. Annette R. Hofmann by December 10, 2024, at nettehofph-ludwigsburg.de. The class will require each participant to register through a university representative and as an official volunteer with FISU.
