The “Stronger Together” project participants held their last online session and now set for the onsite workshop to be held in Cape Town, South Africa next month. The project, co-funded by the UNESCO Participation Programme brough together 12 young grassroots sport leaders from Namibia, Zambia and South Africa who went through six online sessions with international experts in different areas.
In the course of the six sessions, participants reshaped the previous ICSSPE toolkit for grassroots sport leaders “Lets Get Moving Together” and added an additional chapter for the second edition of the toolkit to be published later this year. The participants, together with some of the experts will now be hosted by the University of Western Cape to study the applicability of the new version of the toolkit. They will also visit local NGOs in and around Cape Town to share experiences. In addition, the ICSSPE delegation will also take part in the 12th Cape Town International Sport and Peace Conference.
The “Stronger Together” project continues ICSSPE’s commitment to fostering inclusive, youth-driven solutions through sport and physical activity. It also contributes to UNESCO’s global efforts to support youth participation and leadership in decision-making processes that affect their lives and communities.
