ICSSPE Strengthens Advocacy at the 2024 UNESCO International Conference of NGOs

From December 17-19, 2024, ICSSPE participated in the 2024 International Conference of NGOs at UNESCO's Headquarters in Paris. Themed “Building Capacity for Action,” the event gathered global NGOs to strengthen advocacy and foster partnerships aligned with UNESCO’s mission. This conference provides a crucial opportunity for NGOs to discuss collective priorities for action, and to elect a new NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee.

 

In representation of ICSSPE, our Development Committee member Claire Bousier played a key role by moderating  a panel discussion within the Communication and Information sector of UNESCO’s programme. ICSSPE also contributed to the conference’s culminating document, the Recommendations of the International Conference of NGOs 2024 to the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee, shaping future collaborative frameworks.

 

This engagement underlines ICSSPE’s dedication to empowering sustainable development through international cooperation and reinforces our collaboration with UNESCO.
