At the General Assembly former ICSSPE Executive Director Detlef Dumon and former Membership Manager Andrea Blume were recognised for their outstanding achievements and dedication to ICSSPE over the many years they both worked at the Executive Office.
Andrea worked at ICSSPE from January 2005 until December 2022. Over the years she was responsible for the management of ICSSPE’s membership as well the management of the Executive office. Amongst other tasks, she also assisted the Executive Director Detlef Dumon during his tenure.
“On behalf of the Executive Board, the Development Committee, our members and partners, I would like to thank you for all your years of exceptional work for ICSSPE, we wish you and your dear family health and happiness for the years to come” President Uri Schaefer expressed his gratitude for Andrea´s commitment over the years.
Detlef Dumon was also recognised for his 16 years serving in the Executive Director role. Detlef started working for ICSSPE in 1999 as a Communications Consultant and later as Communications Manager before being appointed Executive Director in 2007.
“I take this opportunity to thank Detlef on behalf of us all for his extraordinary work for ICSSPE. He has led the council for 16 years with remarkable success and countless achievements,” ICSSPE President Uri Schaefer said.
Apart from managing and leading the Executive Office, Detlef represented ICSSPE in various high-level intergovernmental organisations. He served as Secretary General of MINEPS VI in 2013 and as a member of the Consultative Committee of the Enlarged Partial Agreement of Sport of the Council of Europe, an expert group of the European Union. In addition, he is a member of the Sustainability Working Group of the German Olympic Sport Confederation (DOSB) and the German Sport University Cologne (DSHS).
