SPEY Project Presentation in Berlin, 12 May 2022

Sport for Prevention of Extremism in Youth

The European project SPEY – Sport for Prevention of Extremism in Youth will be presented in Berlin on 12 May 2022 from 10 am to 12 pm CET. 

 

The project and its results will be presented at Turnhaus, Olympiapark, Friedrich-Friesen-Allee, 14053 BerlinPlease note that the presentation will be held in English. If you would like to attend, please register by emailing Andrea Blume at ablumeicsspe.org

 

The SPEY Project, led by the Unió de Federacions Esportives de Catalunya (Sports Federation Union of Catalonia, UFEC), combines the practice of sport and the learning of transversal skills with the aim of minimising the risk factors involved in the process of radicalisation in young people.

 

The project aims to produce tools that can measure the effectiveness of programmes aimed at preventing extremism through sport. It is co-funded by the European Commission ERASMUS+ programme.

 

Project partners are: Swedish Riksidrottsförbundet (Confederation of Sports of Sweden), Latvijas Sporta Federáciju Padome (Union of Federations of Latvia), the International Council of Sport and Physical Education (ICSSPE, Germany), the City Council of Gondomar (Portugal), the Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Hellenic Republic of Greece, the French ‘think tank’ Sport and Citizenship, and the University of Córdoba, Spain.
