UK host IWG Secretariat & World Conference 2022 – 2026

London and Birmingham will host the IWG Secretariat and World Conference from 2022 until 2026. Thus the United Kingdom will take over from Aotearoa in New Zealand, who held this position for the outgoing four-year-period from 2018 – 2022.

Before handing over to the United Kingdom, Aotearoa New Zealand will host the 8^th IWG World Conference on Women & Sport from 5^th – 8^th May 2022 as a hybrid event.

Besides leading the strategic and administrative development of the international group for four years, duties also include the planning and delivering of the 9^th IWG World Conference on Women & Sport in 2026 with a focus on gender equity in sport and physical activity.
