Sporting Females: Past, Present and Future

UK based ICSSPE member Leeds Metropolitan University’s Research Centre for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is hosting the conference Sporting Females: Past, Present and Future on 4 September 2014.

This conference is held in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Jennifer Hargreaves’ book, Sporting Females: Critical Issues in the History and Sociology of Women’s Sport. The author will also serve as a keynote speaker.

The conference is aimed at scholars engaged in historical, sociological, philosophical and practitioner research about sporting females and/or gender relations and sport.

Registration deadline is 20 August 2014.
