The American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD), an ICSSPE member, is organising the SPEAK Out! Day to advocate for quality physical education programmes on 11-12 March 2014.
The main legislative demands are
• Cosponsor the PHYSICAL Act – designate health and physical education as core subjects in federal education law
• Support PEP grant funding – the only federal education funding for physical education.
