The University of Brighton’s School of Sport and Service Management offers studentships.
The vacant positions are part of the study “Social movements that challenge the dominant political and policy networks of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympics in Brazil,” starting in October 2014.
The study will research in how far political and cultural contestation in Brazil mirror or are distinctive from previous struggles at other host sites of previous World Cups and Olympic Games.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree and ideally also hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject. Application deadline is 20 February 2014.
