ISHPES Congress 2014 to Discuss Global Perspectives on Sports and Physical Culture

The ISHPES Congress 2014 is organised by the Qatar Olympic and Sport Museum and will be dedicated to the topic ‘Global Perspectives on Sports and Physical Culture: From Past to Present.’

Subtopics will be • Olympics and other Mega-Sport Events • Development of Sport and Physical Activity in the Middle East • Sports Cultures in the Global South • Gender and Sport • Sport Related Migrants and Migrations • The Relation between Sports, Physical Activity and Health • Transcultural Perspectives on Physical Cultures • Cultures of National Movement and Physical Education

The congress will be held from 22 to 25 September 2014 at Qatar University, Doha.
