Gudrun Doll-Tepper on Sport and Inclusion

Former ICSSPE President Gudrun Doll-Tepper shares thoughts on sport and inclusion.
Ken Black, founder of The Inclusion Club, conducted an interview in which Gudrun Doll-Tepper shared some of her views about sports, adapted physical activity and inclusion.
With relevance to the physical education field, Doll-Tepper stated: "Since we have the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, we are now trying to change our school system so that children with disabilities have an opportunity to participate in regular schools which also means in regular physical education. It’s a dramatic change in the philosophy. We don’t separate these young people anymore. We really give them the opportunity to participate like anybody else with choices and this is not only true for the education system but for all areas in society, including sport."
