Register for Communities and Crisis Seminar 2013
Focused on presenting the link between psycho-social support and sport, this year’s Communities and Crisis seminar brings together experts from the Red Cross/Red Crescent Reference Centre for Psycho-Social Support, the Swiss Academy for Development and practitioners from the field of Adapted Physical Activity to deliver high energy workshops on their areas of expertise.
The interactive seminar gives practitioners and students an opportunity to delve into programme design, monitoring and evaluation and inclusion technics useable in post-disaster/post conflict situations.
Highlights from last year’s seminar, among many others, were the inclusive sport sessions presented by Ken Black, Inclusion Club, and Joeri Verellen, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, where participants took part and designed adapted games, as well as a session by Jutta Engelhardt, Swiss Academy for Development, and Lou Bergholz, Edgework Consulting, who engaged their audiences through role playing and sensitisation exercises.
The seminar will take place from 18-23 October 2013 at the Haus Rheinsberg Hotel, 45 minutes from Berlin, Germany.
