AICR Research Conference on Food, Nutrition, Physical Activity and Cancer

The Annual Research Conference is a unique forum that brings together researchers and clinicians for a three-day program that is dedicated to increasing knowledge, stimulating research and promoting prevention and treatment of cancer through nutrition, physical activity and weight management.

The 2014 AICR Annual Research Conference will feature an exciting program which will explore current topics in food, nutrition, physical activity and cancer. Join fellow scientists, researchers, health professinoals and dietitians to hear about the latest research in these areas:

  • Micronutrients in Cancer Prevention: Is Goldilocks Correct After All?
  • Physical Activity and Cancer Survivorship
  • Obesity and Breast Cancer in Minority Populations
  • Childhood Cancer and Survivorship
  • Surrogate Markers for Cancer Intervention Trials
  • Dietary Patterns and Cancer: New Directions

Share your research on food, nutrition, physical activity and cancer by presenting a poster. All posters must be related to cancer, with a focus on food, nutrition, physical activity or overweight/obesity. The deadline to submit a poster abstract is September 5, 2014.

A limited number of full scholarships are available. Applicants must be full-time doctoral students studying nutrition and/or physical activity and cancer at an institution in the United States to be eligible for the scholarship.

Scholarships cover registration fees and accommodation for up to three nights.

Recipients will be required to present a poster at the conference. A poster abstract must thus be included in the application.

Deadline for applications is 5 September 2014.
