1st IMACSSS International Scientific Conference

The 1st International Martial Arts and Combat Sports Scientific Society (IMACSSS) International Scientific Conference will be held from 8 to 10 June 2012 in Genova, Italy.

The event is jointly organised by IMACSSS, the Unione Italiana Sport Per tutti (UISP) and the University of Cassino, both in Italy, and will focus on the interpretation of the connections among game, drama and ritual in Martial Arts and Combat Sports (MA&CS).

The main aim of the event is to encourage, facilitate and strengthen the interaction between academic researchers and sport for all promoters operating in the MA&CS field.

Abstract are welcomed on the following subtopics:

• Philosophical conceptions, general theories, terminology and systematics in MA&CS;
• Pedagogy and didactic methodology in MA&CS;
• Kinesiological and physiological aspects of MA&CS;
• Technical and tactical issues in MA&CS;
• Psychological, artistic and spiritual dimensions of MA&CS;
• Historical and socio-cultural aspects about MA&CS.
