The ITTF Foundation is taking an exciting step in its mission to use sport for social good by announcing a call for proposals to develop a Health & Well-Being Handbook — a global resource designed to inspire, guide, and empower communities to harness table tennis for healthier, more active, and inclusive living.
This initiative follows the announcement of Health & Well-Being as the Foundation’s central theme for 2026–2027 and will be delivered in two key phases:
- Phase 1 (January 2026): Launch of the foundational edition featuring evidence, guidelines, and ideas to celebrate World Table Tennis Day 2026.
- Phase 2 (August 2026): An expanded edition showcasing case studies, stories, and practical applications from the global celebration of World Table Tennis Day, building momentum toward World Table Tennis Day 2027.
The handbook will serve a wide range of stakeholders — from ITTF Member Associations and Continental Federations to World Table Tennis Day promoters, coaches, clubs, and sport-for-development actors worldwide. It will not only highlight the physical, mental, and social benefits of table tennis but also provide practical tools and exercises that communities can apply globally.
Consultant Role and Deliverables
The selected consultant will:
- Lead research, stakeholder consultations, and drafting of the handbook between September 2025 and January 2026 for Phase 1.
- Collect and integrate global case studies between April and September 2026 to deliver the expanded edition by August 2026.
