    The Fédération Internationale d’Education Physique (FIEP) awarded Professor Dr Margaret Talbot with the FIEP Gold Cross of Honour on Physical Education.

     

  • Joint Measures Towards Positive Physical Experience
    ICSSPE Supports Strategic Alliance of GIZ and NIKE Inc.

    The German Development Agency GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) and ICSSPE have signed an agreement under which, in co-operation with sporting goods producer NIKE Inc. and their programme Access to Sport / Designed to Move, initiatives for more physical activity will be encouraged during the school day.

    UNESCO Charter of Physical Education and Sport

    ICSSPE has been closely involved with the revision of the UNESCO Charter of Physical Education and Sport, which was first ratified in 1978.

  • Move and Improve?
    Contribution of Physical Activity to Cognitive Function

    ICSSPE recently organised and hosted an international symposium called “Move and Improve? - Physical Activity and Academic Performance”, which took place between 25th and 27th September in Berlin.  The event brought together a selection of world-class experts from science, education, business and politics to discuss the interface between neuroscience, physical activity and education.

    German Sports University Joins Global Initiative

    The Institute of European Sport Development and Leisure Studies of the German Sports University Cologne (GSU) and ICSSPE have agreed to increase learning opportunities for young participants in sport for development.

  • 2nd Regional MINEPS V Follow-Up
    UNESCO Regional Meeting in Montevideo, Uruguay

    Upon invitation of UNESCO and hosted by the Ministry of Tourism and Sport, Uruguay, the second regional MINEPS V follow-up meeting took place 6-7 October in Uruguay.
