From 6-8 July, 2010 ICSSPE’s Board Meetings and the 24th General Assembly were held in Havana, Cuba
During the meetings Herbert Haag, Germany, was reelected as Speaker of the Associations´ Board and additionally, Maria Dinold (University of Vienna, Austria) was elected as a new Associations´ Board Representative to the Executive Board.
New members of the ICSSPE Executive Board:

Among the structural and strategic decisions made during these meetings, it was also agreed that, at the request of the International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (IFAPA) and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), the United Nations Convention on Rights of Persons with Disabilities be supported by ICSSPE and recommendations to Article 30 of the Convention be endorsed.
Paths to Success - Inspiring Future Leaders in Sport
The international seminar Paths to Success - Inspiring Future Leaders in Sport will be held in Berlin from 19-21 November, 2010. Jointly hosted by ICSSPE, the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) and the Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, the event is financially supported by the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Germany and Olympic Solidarity.
This seminar focuses on the development and support of young women and men to become future leaders in national and international organisations of sport, sport science and physical education.
For several years, the search for younger professionals to take up leadership positions has been high on the agenda of German and international sport organisations. During the seminar ,successful leaders and coaches in sport will share their experiences and strategies on how to encourage and qualify young people.
Around 40 national and international participants and speakers from sport and sport science are expected at the Seminaris hotel, Campus Hotel Berlin, Takustraße 39, 14195 Berlin, Germany.
