Sport in Post-Disaster Intervention
Second International Seminar, November 2008
ICSSPE's 2008 edition of Sport in Post-Disaster Intervention seminar occured in Rheinsberg, Germany.
Disasters such as Cyclone Nagris in Myanmar or the recent earthquake in the southwest province of Sichuan, China, can strike a community with devastating results. ICSSPE's Sport in Post-Disaster Intervention seminar helps to provide useful skills for those providing assistance to traumatized communities.
This intensive, hands-on seminar, provided both a theoretical base, but also practical training for those wanting to learn how to incorporate sport and physical activity into a post-disaster relief plan.
Programme
The seminar had an exciting lineup of international experts to help lead the discussions in the seminar. For more information on the schedule and on the presentations of the speakers, click here.
