International Paralympic Committee
Athletes with Intellectual Impairment back to the Games

In November 2009, the General Assembly of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) voted in favour of the reinclusion of Athletes with Intellectual Impairment in the London 2012 Paralympic Games and beyond.
Following an extensive and intensive review of eligibility and classification requirements, it is expected that Athletes with Intellectual Impairments will be able to participate in Swimming, Athletics, Table Tennis and Rowing events in London.
For more information, please read the attached memo from the IPC.
