Website of Health Information

The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recently launched their ACSM REACH website to help parents, coaches, health care providers, educators and others find credible, expert-reviewed information on youth sport and health.

Coordinated by the ACSM Strategic Health Initiative on Youth Sports and Health committee, the database of information stored on the site can be easily searched with users being assured that the information is medically accurate and sound.

Categories provided on the website include:

• Research: references to scientific articles and important websites;
• Education: specific scholarly information such as position papers, tips, and recommendations;
• Access: links to relevant organizations, health professionals and websites;
• Community: links to information on local youth sports programmes and events;
• Health: articles and links related to the health issues of young athletes.
