Study of University Sport

From 13-16 August, 2011, the FISU Conference of the 26th Universiade will be held in Shenzhen, China.

Hosted by the Shenzhen University, China, the Conference´s general theme is University Sport: From Culture of the “How” to Culture of the “Why” – The Future Starts Here.

Focusing on the exchange of ideas among research scientists in university sports as well as facilitating academic research and sports development in this field, the sub-topics of the Conference are:

• University sport competition;
• Education, ethics and sport;
• Healthy lifestyle promotion at the university: Education, research and strategies for preventative and therapeutic intervention;
• Anticipating new practices and events in university sport; and
• University sport industry: Development through positive exploration.

Abstracts are invited and are due by 15 January 2011.
