Sporting Legacies of Major Games

The recently established Sport Legacies Research Collaborative (SLRC) invites participation in their first Pan American Games network meeting to be held 30-31 May, 2011 at the University of Toronto, Canada.

 

During this two-day workshop, participants will explore possible collaborations to study the relationships between major games and the following three themes of study the SLRC has identified for the 2015 Pan American Games, which will be held in Toronto:

 

  • Sport for Development;
  • Sustainable Sport, Physical Activity and Health; and
  • Healthy High Performance Sport.

 

Abstracts are invited and must be received by 31 March, 2011.
