School Games

Youth Sport Trust invites schools in England to register and join the School Games, a new approach to year-round competitive school sport aiming to create a meaningful sporting legacy from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The programme is meant for pupils between 3 and 13 years, of all abilities and backgrounds. The structure includes four levels of competitive school sport:

Level 1: Intra-school competition, culminating in a School Games day;

Level 2: Regular inter-school competition between schools at a local level;

Level 3: Annual county/area culmination of inter-school competitions – School Games Festivals;

Level 4: National multi-sport event.
