Playing for a Greener Future

The 9th World Conference on Sport and the Environment will take place from 30 April to 2 May, 2011 in Doha, Qatar.

With a motto of Playing for a Greener Future, the aims of the conference are to:

• Assess the environmental success stories of the Olympic Movement;
• Reflect on future challenges; and
• Explore new opportunities of mainstreaming the environment in the world of sport.

The event will be organised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in collaboration with the Qatar Olympic Committee and in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

Registrations will be accepted until 30 March, 2011.
