PCC and WADA Form Anti-Doping Research Partnership

The Partnership for Clean Competition (PCC) and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) announced a multi-year anti-doping research partnership.

According to both partners, the partnership will involve the creation of two collaborative research funds totaling 6 million US$. 1.5 million US$ of the funds will be contributed by the International Olympic Committee, as part of the special IOC-WADA Anti-Doping Research Fund.

The PCC is accepting applications for grants and fellowships for funding in 2015. Pre-applications are due on 1^st March, 1^st July and 1^st November with full applications due a month later for those whose pre-applications are accepted.

WADA issues a call for research proposals each year. In addition to the regular Research Grant Programme, urgent doping research topics identified by WADA or research projects of high interest, and considered outside the regular Program application process, may receive funding as part of a Target Research or Reactive Research Program, respectively.
