Linking Events and Locations

Jointly organised by the Federation Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU) and the GL events group, France, the City Event conference will take place from 16-18 November, 2011, in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The annual event aims to connect sport cities with international sport federations and other event hosts.

This year’s theme will be Three Dimensions of Successful Event Hosting, specifically focusing on:

• Economic impact: how to maximise the impact on revenues;
• Social impact: how to maximise the impact on the well being of citizens;
• Promotional impact: how to maximise the impact on national and international perception.
