ICSSPE Webinar on DITEAM12

Start Time:
Wednesday, August 19, 2020

In the next episode of our new webinar series, we will share and discuss the latest research on diversity and inclusion in grassroots sports for children under 12. The collection and revision of the most current evidence-based studies was conducted for the ERASMUS+ funded project DITEAM12 - Diverse and Inclusive Teams for Children under 12 - together with several partners in a European-wide initiative.

Guest speakers for this webinar include Michelle Friedrich, ICSSPE’s author of the literature review for DITEAM12, and Ken Black, Founder of The Inclusion Club.

The webinar will discuss the questions:

  1. How can the competitive aspect be oriented to a more educational approach in sports for children under 12?
  2. How can sport skills be taught without the competitive aspect?
  3. How can diverse and inclusive teams be created?
  4. How can parents be engaged in this new approach?

The webinar will be an insightful reference for:

  • Practitioners - who are interested in discovering the current trends on diversity and inclusion in grassroots sport
  • Coaches and clubs - who would like to expand their knowledge and understanding of how to open the playing fields to accommodate diversity and increase inclusion
