ICSSPE Leadership Develops Strategic Plan 2021 - 2024

Call for Nominations
04/02/2021 15:51

The Executive Board of ICSSPE has developed a draft strategic plan for the years 2021 to 2024. This proposed road map will be presented to the members of the Council at the General Assembly which will be held 12th of May 2021.

With this plan the Executive Board presents a strategy to further develop the global organisation and its activities and thus respond to global trends and developments in sport and education. It is based on a comprehensive member survey which the organisation conducted in spring 2020 and suggests a series of key performance areas including a strategic membership development plan as well as a variety of new products and services.

As a response to the pandemic, the General Assembly will be held as a hybrid meeting, allowing membership to participate from all parts of the world.

During the General Assembly, members will also vote on a new composition of the Executive Board and of the Development Committee. Almost all positions need to be refilled apart from one as the current position holder Sandra Heck, ISHPES, started her term of office only in 2019.

Though a number of current position holders can be re-elected for another term, all ICSSPE members are invited to nominate candidates for the vacant positions. Following the vision and the mission of the organisation, the current members on the Executive Board hope that the call will lead to nominations from diverse professional backgrounds including academics, sport and physical education practitioners, governmental and non-governmental policy makers; from many geographic regions; as well as from experienced and young professionals.

Following the guidelines, motions for the General Assembly as well as nominations for positions on the Executive Board and the Development Committee need to reach the Executive Director Detlef Dumon by 11th February 2021.
