ICSSPE Board Meetings Held in Luxemburg

On 12th and 13th September 2017 the ICSSPE Executive Board and Development Committee met for the first time after the extra-ordinary General Assembly held earlier this year.

According to its areas of activity, Science, Education, Policy, ICSSPE continues to reorganise its structure which as of January 1^st 2018, will be composed of scientific and educational organisations and institutions, non-governmental sport organisations, as well as governmental sport, health and education authorities.

With the dissolution of the President’s Committee, it was decided that the Executive Board will also meet in quarterly Teleconferences. Unless requested for specific needs, it will accept observers to its annual meetings.

During their meeting, members of the Development Committee agreed that vision, mission and the decision on the respective biennial working programmes of the organisation should consequently steer the various activities of the organisation. This includes the planning of events, the production of publications as well as the awarding of grants to member organisations. Additionally, Committee members demanded an effective communication strategy for internal as well as for external information exchange.  

It was also decided to postpone a discussion around a possible name change of ICSSPE.
