Doctoral Studentship (with stipend): This Girl Can be Active

Applicants are invited for a full-time three-year PhD studentship at London South Bank University (LSBU) co-funded by Lambeth Council, to begin in November 2015. To address community needs Lambeth Council has developed the Borough's Physical Activity and Sports Strategy 2015-2020 which aims to improve community health and wellbeing by increasing participation in physical activity and sport at all levels. We have partnered on this project to research and evaluate the resultant changes in physical activity attitudes, behaviour and health among young females.

 

We are seeking an exceptional and enthusiastic person to join the researchers at the Sport and Exercise Science Research Centre (SESRC) at LSBU for a programme of training and research in the area of physical activity (PA) and health.

 

Supervisors: Dr. Rita de Oliveira, Dr. Lisa Zaidell, Dr. Katya Mileva (LSBU) and a Lambeth council Consultant.
