Call for Abstracts

The Centre for Peace and Reconciliation Studies (CPRS), UK, and the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWASF) call for abstract submissions for their international conference Disability Sport: A vehicle for social change?

Held from 23-25 August, 2012 in Coventry Cathedral, UK, this inter-disciplinary conference for academics and practitioners will focus on the use of disability sport as a tool for peace, development and social inclusion. Main themes of the event will include:

• Disability sport for peace and development;
• Disability sport and social inclusion;
• The recreational and psychological value of sport for people with disabilities;
• Sport and health for people with disabilities.

The deadline for abstract submission is 31 January, 2012.
