2015 WFATT World Congress

Saint Louis University is hosting the 2015 World Congress of the World Federation of Athletic Training and Therapy from 20 to 22 June in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.

Theme of the conference is the “Overuse Injury in Sport: an Interprofessional Approach.”

Conference objectives are to

• Identify the key features of overuse injury in sport;

 • Differentiate between modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors for overuse injury;

 • Develop preventative measures for overuse injury based on modifiable rick factors;

 • Apply current best evidence in the examination of overuse injury;

 • Formulate an intervention plan for an overuse injury case based on best-evidence and clinical experience;

 • Employ best practices for pedagogies in Interprofessional Education;

 • Select appropriate team members to maximize patient outcomes in Interprofessional Collaborative Practice.

The deadline for abstract submission is 20 January 2015.
